Ace Aquatec is dedicated to the Aquaculture industry. It was formed in December 1999 when its founder, John Ace-Hopkins, bought the Aquaculture interests from Thomson-Marconi. The company
developed the Silent Scrammer range of seal scarers in 2001.
In 2003 Ace Aquatec launched the world's first high speed humane electric stunner. It is estimated that this machine stun/kills over 80% of UK trout production. The company developed its second generation of electro-stunners – the HS2 – which was launched in 2007. This stun / killer is aimed at marine species. Ace Aquatec continues to innovate and justifiably claim to be one of the world leaders in seal scaring and humane slaughter technologies.
