Ace Aquatec is dedicated to the Aquaculture industry. It was formed in December 1999 when its founder, John Ace-Hopkins, bought the Aquaculture interests from Thomson-Marconi. The company developed the Silent Scrammer range of seal deterrents in 2001.

In 2003 Ace Aquatec launched the world's first high speed humane electric stunner. It is estimated that this machine stuns/kills over 80% of UK trout production. Ace Aquatec developed the HS2 in 2007 to deal with marine species and launched the HS3 in 2008 for flat fish.

Ace Aquatec continues to innovate and justifiably claim to be one of the world leaders in seal scaring and humane slaughter technologies.
